The BIE Science test is March 23-April 2 for 5th grade; the BIE ELA/Math tests are April 6-17 for 3-6 grade.

Soda with Security + Parent Advisory Committee

The Salt River Elementary School Parent Advisory Committee will join the Safe Schools & Security Team at the next SODA WITH SECURITY meeting on Tuesday, March 31, from 5:30–7 PM at SRES. Come learn about important Emergency Procedures. There will also be fun Health & Wellness activities. Enter to win one of several family gift prizes! Join the Jr. Ace Program!

The Salt River Jr. ACE program is a collaborative effort between Scottsdale Community College and Salt River Schools. The Jr. ACE program engages students in grades 5th – 8th with college-related activities during a FREE two-week summer program held June 8-17, from 8 AM – 3 PM at the SCC Indigenous Culture Center.

Spring Break: March 9-13. Salt River Elementary School, and the Accelerated Learning Academy will be closed to students. There is no Early Head Start / Head Start programming at the Early Childhood Education Center; however, childcare is available (7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.). Students return Monday, March 16.

Daddy Daughter Dance

The much-beloved Daddy Daughter Dance is an annual Spring tradition at Salt River Elementary School. This year, we’ll celebrate Fat Tuesday on Thursday, March 26, from 6-8 p.m. The Accelerated Learning Academy Cafeteria will be transformed into a scene from Carnival, so don a mask and dress to impress!
