Salt River Elementary School invites you to come celebrate our FACE, Kinder, and 6th Grade students with us on Wednesday, May 19, from 9:30–10:30 a.m.
To ensure the highest level of safety, promoting students will be driven in a vehicle by an adult east along Highland Avenue while classmates and well-wishers cheer from the sidewalks (SRPMIC mask & social distancing rules will be enforced). SRES students and staff will cheer from the north sidewalk, while family, friends, and Community members cheer from the south sidewalk.
Well-wishers (friends and family) should consider parking along Center Street or in the Salt River Schools Administration parking lot. Remember to bring water and even a hat or umbrella for shade!
This event will also be livestreamed on the Salt River Schools Facebook page (you do not need to have a Facebook account to view the livestream). The recording of the event will be posted here.
PROMOTING STUDENTS & FAMILIES:
- Vehicles with promoting students will gather (stage) in the SRHS parking lot south of the football field from 9-9:20AM. School staff and security will help direct vehicles.
- If students are unable to be driven by an adult, they will join in on the celebration from the sidewalk.
- The drive-through celebration will begin promptly at 9:30AM. Highland Avenue will be closed to through traffic until the event ends at 10:30AM.
- Drive slowly down the middle of Highland Avenue heading east.
- Stay at least 15-20 feet back from the car in front of you.
- Students must stay seated inside the vehicle at all times; no students should be riding in pickup beds or on top of vehicles.
The celebration ends when all promoting students have driven through; Highland Avenue will reopen to traffic no later than 10:30 a.m.
