Salt River Elementary School honors student behavior and achievement by nominating students from every grade for Student of the Month. Then, SRES staff vote for one Lower Elementary (FACE-2nd Grade) student and one Upper Elementary (3rd-6th Grade) student to be recognized in front of the Education Board at their first meeting of the month.
The following students will be recognized at the January 16 Education Board meeting:
- Royalty Iron-Leggins, 1st Grade: Royalty is a wonderful student! She attends school each day and has perfect attendance. She participates in class and works hard on her assignments. She is working towards meeting her reading and math goals by trying her best each day. (Nominated by Ms. Gonzales)
- Kaleb Lewis, 5th Grade: Kaleb has been a great addition to the SRES community and our 5th grade class. He has been a sponge and his language skills in Culture class are impressive. He loves to reach his goals and is constantly making them in AR and NWEA. He gained over 20 points in his NWEA Reading assessment! Keep up the great work Kaleb! (Nominated by Mrs. Garcia)
Congratulations to Royalty and Kaleb! We also want to highlight all the students who were nominated for the month of December.
